Learned how to write effectively and professionally. Acquired knowledge for writing using an advertising aspect through assignments such as emails, memos, sales letters, good/bad letters, press releases, blogs, and social media networks. I can compose with power and impact others with my words.
RTVF 302 Television Critical Studies-
Expanded my knowledge on the history of television and learned how to analyze TV shows through a deeper viewpoint. I can watch and understand the structure, narrative, editing, and production of shows because of the critical analysis practiced throughout this course.
RTVF 366 Reality TV-
Observed and analyzed several reality television formats and discussed the structure and narratives of each program. Studied how this type of genre varies from the rest as well as how it is different from one another. Learned how reality TV is produced, the labor involved, type of shooting, ways of editing, and the subgenres it contains.
AMST 201 Intro to American Studies-
Studied American culture from the 17th to 20th century, and gained knowledge about the growth of Americans. Learned how Americans have evolved through different societies up until the 20th century where pop culture rises. Understands where pop culture originated and how it is different generations later.
